Esquina Homero Manzi

Homero Manzi is a beautifully authentic Buenos Aires Tango House, nestled away - slightly off the tourist beaten track - in the Bohemian neighbourhood of Boedo. The venue is named after Homero Manzi, one of the greatest Tango poets and writers who lived in Buenos Aires during the 20th century and worked with two of the most famous characters of the tango legacy, Carlos Gardel and Anibal Troilo.

Esquina Homero Manzi is located in the historic quarter of Boedo and was founded in 1927. It became a symbol of the urban culture of the fourties, hosting many of the popular musicians who made Tango popular in Buenos Aires. The building was restored to retain the spirit of the original venue but convert it into a modern place, allowing it to be declared a site of historical importance. The Tango Show is an hour and a half long show in which 20 performers are on stage including three dancing couples, two singers and a traditional Tango orchestra. A great, genuine no-frills tango show which attracts many locals every night. Everything about this place stays very true to its Porteño roots; Even its food - delicious but simple Argentine specialities.

• The Tango show can be purchased with or without dinner.


• There are no actual tickets to the tango show. The reservations are made under the name of the customer and the booking agency.


• Passengers staying outside the transfer circuit will be assigned the closest hotel within the area, as a meeting point.


• Children up to the age of 3 enter free of charge. Children aged 3 to 10 pay half price


• Closed on the 25th December and 1st January.
