Piazzolla Tango was named in honour of the famous Tango composer and bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla. The tango composer revolutionized the traditional Tango into a new style of tango that incorporates elements of both jazz and classical music. However a tango show at Piazzolla - while paying homage to a more modern approach to tango - showcases a huge variety of traditional and classic tango, all in a breathtakingly stunning environment.

Piazzolla Tango is located in the Galeria Guemes, in downtown Buenos Aires. The building is a restored gallery from 1915, which was the most important building in Buenos Aires as it marked the city's transition into the age of modern Buenos Aires.

The Tango Show at Piazzolla Tango is inspired by the musical masterpiece "Estaciones Porteñas" or "The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires” by Astor Piazzolla. Each season: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter are included in this unique repertoire, showcasing tango’s very beginnings up to its more modern interpretations - producing a top quality and unique musical performance. The Piazzolla Tango show includes, singing and dancing performed by a live Tango orchestra, live singers and renowned Tango dancers. At Piazzolla Tango you'll enjoy a tango dinner show with an exquisite menu, which honours its Italian roots by offering a selection of Italian pasta or Argentine grill, in a special rustic gallery.

The Tango show can be purchased with or without dinner.

There are no actual tickets to the tango show. The reservations are made under the name of the customer and the booking agency.

Children up to the age of 3 enter free of charge. Children aged 3 to 10 pay half price. Please contact us to make a booking with these special rates.

Please note Piazzolla Tango is closed on the 15th and 23rd of November, the 25th December and 1st January.

O show no Piazzolla é muito bonito, tem uma cantora fabulosa, além dos dançarinos de tango. A aula que antecede o show é muito divertida também, pra quem quer experimentar ensaiar uns passos de tango, vale a pena! A comida estava ótima e as bebidas são à vontade, a localização das mesas é ótima também, todos os locais visualizam o palco tranquilamente, o que não ocorre em todas as casa de tango de BA. O único problema mesmo é o traslado do Hotel para o show que foi atrasadíssimo. Uma hora de atraso, ficamos no lobby do hotel aguardando e até ligamos para a empresa preocupados. Segundo eles, a responsabilidade é do Piazzolla quanto ao transfer e pelo que pude perceber, pontualidade não é o forte dos argentinos, mas no final deu tempo aproveitar a aula, o jantar e o show. A volta foi tranquila.

The tango show was wonderful, the meal accompanying it fine, and the venue magnificent. The transport let it down. Our transport did not arrive to collect us so we followed the instructions in our confirmation and got our hotel to ring the emergency number. A van arrived to collect us and we were driven close to the venue where a person waited to walk us to the show. Good recovery of a bad situation. The bus to take us back to the hotel stopped soon after the venue and the driver indicated that the people at Plaza Roma Hotel were to get off. That was us. The driver did not speak English and with the help of other passengers we gleaned that as our hotel was on a one way street, we had to walk from there. Previously a taxi had gone around several blocks to drop us at the hotel door so we knew it was possible to drive there. We had no idea where we were or which direction to walk. Again, other passengers explained. The walk was about 5 blocks, late at night, in the dark. We had purposefully chosen a transfer to avoid this risky situation. We did not have walking shoes on and with only 2 of us, we felt vulnerable. We did pass a police station which provided some comfort. We got back safely but this could have had a different outcome. This transfer treatment was unacceptable.

Músicos excelentes, cantores afinados e um grupo de dança de alta qualidade. Escolhi o show pela ênfase na música de Astor Piazzolla e fui brindado com um trabalho sério, com um palco ocupado por profissionais competentes. Parabéns aos artistas. Em especial, a interpretação de Adios Nonino foi emocionante. Como contribuição para melhorar a atividade, sugiro um melhor cumprimento do horário do transfer. O meu passou cerca de 40 minutos antes da hora acordada e precisei seguir para o show de taxi (que foi ressarcido pela produção do teatro). Também sugiro que o atendimento para o jantar seja mais rápido. Ao iniciar o espetáculo ainda estava a terminar a refeição e o show merece toda a atenção do público. Enfim, muy recomendable.
