The Museum Tour covers certain aspects of the city culture- it’s history, habits, and way of living and work of some of its emblematic and representative people across the most important museums of Buenos Aires.
You can choose between 4 or 5 museums to visit, concentrating in the central theme of each of them and in this way to obtain an ample idea of Buenos Aires culture and traddition in terms of habits, art craft, fine arts and history.
This tour, conducted by specialist bilingual guides, is a true dynamic experience, especially for those passengers that do not have a lot of time in the city, and want to focus on the subjects that are most interesting to them.
The Museums included in this tour are:
- National History Museum (Museo de Historia Nacional) Shines a historical vision of the political and social development of the country.
- City Museum : (City Museum) Full of document, photographs and artifacts that illustrate the history of the city of Buenos Aires.
- National Museum of Fine Arts: (Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes) Its collectin includes international works of art from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. There are 32 rooms and 11,000 masterpieces, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, recordings and more.
- Museum of Popular Art José Hernandez: There are over 8,000 works of art in this museum that emphasizes the traditions of the indigenous communities of South America.
- Eva Peron Museum: Tells the story of the life and work of one of the most important women in the history of Argentina..
- Town Hall Museum (Museo Cabildol): Conserves objects from the history of the city and the fights for independence, including information on the colonial period and the foundation of the city.
- Hispanoamerican Art Museum: (Museo de Arte Hispanoamericano) Contains artwork both religious and secular, from all over South America, including Peru, Brazil and the northern regions of Argentina.
- Carlos Gardel House- Museum: The house where the father of tango lived with his mother, Bertha, conserving personal materian and recounting the life anf work of Carlos Gardel.
- Museum of Visual Arts Eduardo Sivori : (Museo de Artes Plásticas)Specializing in visual arts of Argentine artists from the 19th and 20th centuries.
- Immigrants Museum: (Museo de la Inmigración) Hotel used to house the thousands of immigrants that came to Buenos Aires from all over the World, now holds a collections of interesting artifacts and testimonies that tell the stories of those people.
